In the summer of 2009 Devin realized that the music he had been making was slowly drifting away from the style that was in his heart. So he decided it was time to depart from Willie Stradlin and set out to bring that music to life. With wanting to take a break from the road, he started playing acoustic shows at local clubs. He called longtime friend Justin, who had previously played in the Hubbard Fry Band, to sit in with him and have a good time making music.
It wasn’t until Devin invited Shannon, from Next Of Kinn, out to jam, that he knew he had a solid foundation for the music he enjoyed. After coming up with a band name, the three started writing original music and started booking shows across Arkansas, Oklahoma, and Texas. For the next six months the response had grown tremendously and in the spring of 2010, Devin decided it was time to add a bassist and drummer to broaden their acoustic set, to a full band show.
He enlisted Jim, whom he had played with in Willie Stradlin, to fill the spot for his dedication to the music. And, with Shannon’s approval, contacted Brent, whom Shannon had played with in Next Of Kinn, for his solid drumming.
After playing a handful of shows together, they entered the studio in July to record their first CD that, with high anticipation, scheduled to be available by the end of 2010.
